Amaryllis Sumatra is a stunning member of the exotic side of the amaryllis family. Slender, elongated petals in vivid salmon-orange-red tones over creamier lower petals sweep back from exaggeratedly extended and curled stamens.

In 10-12 weeks after planting, the bulb will reward you with a gorgeous orchid-like display. Water sparingly after planting (keep soil barely moist), and just slightly increase watering once you see new growth. Amaryllis like to stay on the dry side until they begin to flower. These exotic amaryllis bulbs make great gifts for adventurous gardeners looking for something unusual.
